Yup! that big plastic piece in front of you. It goes through extreme temperatures and is bombarded by harmful Ultra Violet rays day in and day out. If dust magnets existed, this would be it. Now its time to clean it and make it last a long long time. If you don't it will dry up and crack. Here's how to keep it looking great for as long as you own your car.
What you'll need.
You surely noticed that shade and time are back. It is important not to apply protector in direct sunlight because the surface will be hot and the product will dry too quickly. Also if over spray gets on the glass windows it will be harder to get off. Time is important because there are many nooks and crannies in a dashboard and you want an even shine. Apply your favorite cleaner to the dash and wipe in long straight motions. Avoid circles as much as possible. What will happen is the dust will be pushed all over instead of being brought to the end of the dash to be picked up.
This step is performed before cleaning the windshield because it is messier. The potential for over spray is greater and the product is harder to get off. Also while cleaning with a cloth the product may come in contact with the glass and cause smudging.
