Interior: Carpets

Start by removing your carpet protectors. Shake out any lose particles, sand, salt, dust and anything else that may be in there.

What you'll need.

  • Vacuum
  • Calcium remover
  • Deodorizer
  • Carpet sleaer/protector


  • Get out your trusty vacuum and suck up the rest. If you have a long thin extension use it to get into those more narrow spaces. Don't forget to go under the seats, who knows what fell under there. Have a quick look before you vacuum because its always amazing what we find under our seats. Of course it helps keep the car clean so don't eat in your car. If you have calcium stains, they're white, you'll want to remove them with a specially formulated calcium remover. Follow the instructions on the product for the best results.

    Now that you have your carpets nice and clean you'll want to keep them that way. Spray on a sealer, common over the counter(OTC)aerosol sealer/protectors will do the trick. Make sure you're in a well ventilated area and test the product in an inconspicuous area first. By applying this product you will protect your carpets from spills and potential calcium stains. It will also make the cleanup process a lot easier for you. Now that your carpets are treated go ahead and place your favorite deodorizer and breath in the freshness. You'll smell the difference next time you take your car out for a spin.
